Over the past few years, many companies have taken considerable steps towards integrating CSR in their corporate culture. This includes Beaufort, a consulting firm based in Esch, that has the ambition to and a passion for actively supporting organisations in realising far-reaching improvements in their financial and operational performance. Beaufort does not want to take responsibility for only their own projects and customers, but to contribute to a better society as well. In the NOTS Foundation, Beaufort has found the perfect partner to realise this ambition.
By supporting the NOTS Professional Education Pescar Program, Beaufort increases chances for decent jobs and independent lives for students in developing countries. Beaufort wanted to do more for the Pescar Program, aside from giving financial support. NOTS arranged a conference call between the 20 current participants of the program and some of Beaufort's employees. The underlying idea was that personal contact could develop in this manner, allowing both parties to learn from and inspire each other.
The experience was unique for all parties involved:
- “It was an unforgettable experience.. We learned about the Dutch culture and economy and we understand why Beaufort decided to support the Pescar Program. For us, it is great to know we get support from other countries”, said the students who participated.
- “This was the first time a Pescar Centre had a Skype video conference with Europe. A milestone in our history”, concluded the director of the Pescar Foundation.
- “Seeing and communicating directly with the Pescar students we support has been a unique and very impressive experience for us. This session made us feel personally involved in the project, and in addition we have been able to boost the students' self-confidence, which to us is more important than the financial support we give.” Beaufort Business Partners Team.
